GOVERNANCE • COMPLIANCE • DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
We help charities, community organisations, and mission-driven businesses build strong governance, stay compliant, and use technology responsibly to become sustainable, resilient, and future-ready.
Many organisations grow in activity but not in structure. Governance becomes reactive. Compliance becomes fragmented. Digital tools are added without strategy, creating more risk. Good intentions alone don’t create long term sustainability.
Cymuned works as a fractional governance, compliance, and digital strategy partner. We help boards and leadership teams make clear, defensible decisions by combining charity law, risk management, and practical digital thinking that supports mission rather than distracts from it.
No hype. No unnecessary tools. Just clarity.
Cymuned was built on a simple belief: that good governance is an act of care. When organisations are structured well, led with integrity, and supported to understand their responsibilities, they are better placed to serve the people who depend on them. That belief sits at the heart of everything we do. Cymuned is led by Aiman Ismail, a legal and compliance professional with experience across the UK and Malaysia, advising charities, social enterprises, startups, and fintech organisations on governance, regulatory compliance, and responsible technology. Aiman's work spans charity law, anti-money laundering and financial crime prevention, AI governance, and legaltech bringing together legal rigour and practical insight in a way that is accessible, not intimidating.Cymuned was founded to make that expertise available to the organisations that need it most: mission-driven, often under-resourced, and operating in an environment where the stakes of getting governance wrong are real. We work with boards, leadership teams, and founders who want to do things properly and not because compliance is a box to tick, but because trust, accountability, and transparency are the foundations of lasting impact. We are based in Swansea, working across Wales, the UK, and beyond.
